1) Where was this match from Shelton at the last PPV? Shelton and Jeff Hardy put on a great, two-segment match that ended the way it had to with an MVP run-in to pimp their Summerslam match. You can’t let Jeff beat Shelton here and you can’t let Shelton get squashed… so the best way to do it is for a run-in to end it.

2) I’m noticing I”m finding it very hard to pay attention to the whole of this show… maybe it’s because none of Smackdown’s SummerSlam matches are interesting at all. Khali/HHH is pointless because there’s only one way it’s going to end, Hardy/MVP should be a good match but it requires no build, and all the build for Undertaker/Edge was done four months ago. As such, I keep finding myself phasing out in favor of catching up on Hyatte’s rambling blog.

3) For example, watching HHH yell at Kenny Dykstra in a promo. What? Then squash him in a 30-second match. What does that accomplish other than filling 2 minutes on a 2-hour show. I hate everything about this match. I don’t understand Vince’s obsession with getting ridiculously large guys and having normal sized guys beat them up. It’s ridiculous and stupid. It’s been stupid since The Big Show was everyone on the roster’s bitch. If you’re going to have this stupid business where only certain guys can be dominant because all the finishes are scripted, then get guys who are all relatively the same size. It’s hard enough watching 45 and and 50-year-old men beat up 25-year-olds and suspending disbelief.

4) And then we move directly in to Big Show vs. Ryan Braddock, a pretty tall jobber who’s actually almost as tall. And Big Show’s finisher is now an illegal closed fist to the jaw? Really? We got rid of the chokeslam for a punch?

5) Seriously did anyone on the planet not see Edge being in Vickie’s limo? Are the only ones who didn’t the ones who say Undertaker being in the limo? I was kind of hoping for a ‘WHERE TO, VICKIE?’ *evil laugh*.

6) Can’t they just get Rammstein to do Kozlov’s music instead of a cheap knockoff of Rammstein?

7) I can’t get over the fact that I kinda dig Festus.

8) Edge does crazy really well.

9) Kind of disappointed that the Undertaker didn’t at least make an appearance to pimp the match. I guess they just kind of wanted to let Edge feature his “I’m crazy” promo ability.
