The site is very, very slow now. I’m not sure what’s going on. I know that some spambot has found us and dumped about 1,200 comments into the spam queue over the last two days. I’ll keep you all posted.

1) I guess Big Show’s face stitches were a little more serious than we thought as they had to throw out the results of the PPV and go with a Fatal Four Way with the winner to face Kane tonight.
2) Adamle is growing on me after PPV skit with Cena. “I’m goin down to TJ with my old buddy Gemini from Gladiator.” He still seemed completely over-matched trying to call the finish of the Fatal Four Way… trying to call finisher after finisher after finisher. I think the pace is still a bit quick for him but for the first time tonight I started to get the idea that he’ll pick it up eventually.
3) Teddy Long invited Matt Hardy over from Smackdown to take on Armando. Widro’s right… Smackdown is scrubtastic.
4) This was the first time I’ve seen Matt Seidel wrestle so I’m not sure if he’s a one-shot or if he’s a normal employee… but the li’l bastard is a bump machine. Did a great top-rope knee drop and made Shelton look like the strongest guy on Earth. Another count-out finish but only after Shelton powerbomb tossed him into Kofi. Great spot.
5) I’m also going to go ahead and assume that there were unresolved issues between Teddy Long, Armando Estrada, and Matt Hardy that I missed and, knowing those, that this match set-up made sense.
6) You know, I’ve been given Trevor Murdoch the Mideon Award for “Worst wrestling physique” but I might have to hand the title to Colin Delaney sooner rather than later.
7) I apparently mis-heard… the winner of the Fatal Four Way is facing Kane in a non-title match. I guess that’s why C.M. Punk won? So he can be convincingly squashed. Again.
8) Really weird exchange where Adamle said that “the longer the match goes, the more the match will favor Kane since Punk already wrestled in a match tonight.” Tazz disagreed, Adamle asked why, and Tazz described how well conditioned Kane was… which essentially confirms what Adamle had just said. Tazz is terrible. Adamle, to his credit, sold it instead of saying “I just said that, meatball.”
9) I used to think Kane was a pretty crappy wrestler. As it turned out, he’s not that great when wrestling crappy WWE Main Event Style, but he keeps up with guys like punk pretty well. I’ve revised my opinion.
10) OK, good finish to the main event. Punk tried to put Kane up for the GTS and didn’t have enough power to get the good man up. He dropped him and Kane capitalized with a choke-slam. Good on them to show that a guy the size of Punk has to rely on agility more than power to to beat bigger guys. Hopefully this is used as a catalyst to have him “create” a finisher less reliant on power. Or… they won’t do any of that and I’m reading way too much into it.

Ugh, I think I’m converted and am into this show now. Dammit.

The whole show was worth it just for Shelton throwing Sydal into Kofi. That was a ridiculously awesome spot.
Daniels, we’re seeing Teddy get back at Armando on behalf of Colin Delany. Armando was a bitch to Colin over the past couple of months so now Teddy is basically making Estrada go through all the same stuff that Colin had to over the winter. Hardy was just a face that was available at the time. AFAIK he has no beef with Estrada.
