In what is becoming an all too often occurrence here, WWE.com is reporting that Brian Adams, better known as the Kona Crush, Crush of Demolition, or half of KroniK has passed away at 43.
According to WWE, no further information is available at the time. Sadly, we’ll keep you posted.
Jesus. It appears that entire era is destined to not live past 45. I mean, can we get a list of guys from the mid-80s to the early-90s that are still alive, and older than 45? There’s Flair and Hogan, but those guys have made so much money, they’ve got the best medical care money can by, I’m willing to bet.
wow that sucks btw Primetime brian Lee was the fake undertaker not Brian Adams.
My heart goes out to his family
Ah you are correct sir.
I’ll file that under “duh.”
As a kid I hated Demolition (because they were excellent heels) and as an adult I hated Kronik (because they sucked). But my ultimate respect goes to Brian Adams and my sympathies to his family. It sucks to lose another one after all the wrestling deaths already this year.
In response to s1rweeze, if I was a guy who wrestled anytime between 1970 and 2000, I would be straight down to my doctors and paying whatever money it took to keep me alive.
I’m amazed at Flair though, he’s taken arguably more bumps than anyone in hostory, partied as hard as any other wrestler for a very long period, is still wrestling and taking those bumps on a weekly basis, yet he’s still going. Just lucky I guess. I wish he’d stop wrestling though. I saw him wrestle in Perth Western Australia about four years ago in the middle of a very difficult Australian tour. He wrestled A-Train for about 20 minutes and looked exhausted throughout - I was worried he was going to die there and then. There was a huge pop when he won the match but I was just relieved he hadn’t expired in the ring.
Condolences to the Adams family. It is unfortunate that his best match (WM10 v. Randy Savage) was overshadowed on a stacked card, but I always thought the heel Crush was a good character, and before that he had a great run before his arrest.
People forget how over Kona Crush was.
