Since it was only briefly mentioned here, I thought I’d share a thought that ran through my head while watching RAW (which, in my opinion, was a fine show — what’s wrong with saving the long ***+ wrestling matches for the Pay Per Views, as long as the angles are interesting?):

How absolutely brilliant was the intro to RAW, spoofing the ridiculous Monday Night Football controversy.

I have to say, tonight’s promo was JBL was probably the most entertaining I saw this year.

Overall I think it was a good show. Nothing spectacular, which is a shame, but a solid three hours with nothing embarrassing, some good wrestling, and a couple of fun backstage Raw/SD/crossover segments (Gene Snitsky: “I like your poetry.” Jon Heidenreich: “I like what you do to babies.” HA!).

Looks like we’ve got ourselves a little talent raid goin’ on, eh?
