Speaking of the Four Horsemen…

Since it was only briefly mentioned here, I thought I’d share a thought that ran through my head while watching RAW (which, in my opinion, was a fine show — what’s wrong with saving the long ***+ wrestling matches for the Pay Per Views, as long as the angles are interesting?):
What happens if EVERYONE [...]

How The Mighty Have Fallen

No explanation necessary.

Gotta give Vince his dues.

Gotta give Vince his dues.
How absolutely brilliant was the intro to RAW, spoofing the ridiculous Monday Night Football controversy.
“Are you ready for someeee wressssssstling.”
Absolute GOLD man.
Most entertaining thing I’ve seen on RAW in a long time.
“Shelton, you may not realize this, but you… are an African American.”

According to the Observer, Bob Holly went nuts on Rene Dupree during a house show in Syracuse. He busted his eye with a very stiff chairshot, landed stiff punches and the fight even carried on in the locker room.
Considering Holly’s track record (trying to injure Lesnar, stiffing Tough Enough Matt, injuring Carlito Carribean Cool, his [...]

Sympathy For The Devil

I have to say, tonight’s promo was JBL was probably the most entertaining I saw this year.
JBL telling that economy gone up since he is champion? How there was no terrorist attack on american soil during his reign? Brilliant.
But a line in particular was great, when Eddie, Booker and Taker expressed their interest in getting [...]

IMPROVED!

It’s november and this is the time of the year where we like to pretend that we’re wrestling experts. When the end of the year comes around, we like to give awards.
Match of the year? It will probably go to the triple threat match at WMXX. A very fine choice. I personally have a soft [...]

So the Armageddon main event was announced at last night’s Smackdown tapings (behind the cut due to spoilers)…

PROLOGUE: Eighteen years ago, Survivor Series began… now, it returns to the place it was born… with no Hacksaw Jim Duggan. We promise.

J.R.: We are LIVE, by gawd!
Tazz: Rocketbustah!
Cole: What a night!
Carlos & Hugo: Buenos dias, buenos tardes, y buenos noches!

Quick & Dirty SurSer Thoughts

Overall I think it was a good show. Nothing spectacular, which is a shame, but a solid three hours with nothing embarrassing, some good wrestling, and a couple of fun backstage Raw/SD/crossover segments (Gene Snitsky: “I like your poetry.” Jon Heidenreich: “I like what you do to babies.” HA!).

The Friday Afternoon Wars!

Looks like we’ve got ourselves a little talent raid goin’ on, eh?
